  • Judo made its debate at the Commonwealth Games in 1964. 
  • Northern Ireland first competed in Judo at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland, where the achieved impressive success – earning two bronze medals. Joyce Malley took bronze in the Women’s 66kg category, while Colin Savage claimed bronze in the Men’s 71kg category. 
  • Birmingham 2022 saw Yasmin Javadian and Nathon Burns achieve bronze in their weight categories at Coventry Arena.
